The Beatles Liverpool - A Magical History Tour is a five and a half hour film, spread over two DVDs, which features over 50 Beatle locations on Merseyside and over 20 interviewees. Spencer Leigh hosts the DVD and the guests include Bill Harry, Colin Hanton (Quarrymen), Billy Hatton (Fourmost), Ray O'Brien (Beatles historian), Kingsize Taylor and Allan Williams (the man who gave the Beatles away). There is a full tour of John Lennon's home on Menlove Avenue with its custodian, Colin Hall and another of the Cavern and the various Beatle sites on Mathew Street. Because of its length, we are able to visit many sites that would not normally be covered in a documentary.
The DVD has been made by Artsmagic, a very experienced Welsh company - check out their website for their other releases. The director is Gerry Malir and the cameraman is Kevin Phillips.
